Not all pets are able to be boarded and that’s ok! Our Pet Sitter / In-Home Care Specialists are available to watch your fur babies in the comfort of your home. We are locally owned, reliable, insured, bonded and all of our employees are background check/drug tested. Our Pet Sitter service is priced comparably to other services such as Rover or Wag. We can provide 24 hour in-home care or 2-4 visits per day, it’s up to you!

Including: Seminole, Clearwater, Largo, St.Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Gulfport, St.Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Shores & Clearwater Beach.

Our Pet Sitter Specialists are all insured, bonded, background checked, mature and trained in Pet CPR/First Aid. When you use other popular pet sitting services like Rover or Wag you don’t know the person you will get until the day you drop them off. With Barks & Recreation we will set up a meet & greet and we will get to know your fur babies prior to the sitting dates. You can show us your routine, the routes you prefer for their walks, how much and what to feed etc. If you have any questions or want to check in during your trip we are just a phone call away. You will even get pictures and updates texted by your pet sitter!

Barks & Recreation is a company founded on the love of animals. Because of this, we have designed our In-Home Care Program to provide the best care for your fur babies.

Our passion for animals goes beyond the work place and into volunteer efforts. We are a family of pet lovers that want to give back to charities and support local shelters through fund raising and awareness. Consequently our main charity is Pet Pal Animal Shelter and we send the mobile grooming van to groom dogs waiting for adoption.
We don’t overbook our pet sitting schedule! By not overbooking our pet sitter specialists we ensure that they can spend extra special time with each of your pets. We take our time, make sure they eat all of their food, go on extensive walks, and make sure to give each pet extra love and care.
We can take care of the extra’s while you’re away! From bringing in the mail and paper to watering the plants, we will take care of the details.
We have also spent extensive time in training all of our staff members in Pet CPR/First Aid, taught by our Pet Tech Certified, Instructor Jon Anderson. Our loving and well trained staff will make sure your fur baby is safe and comfortable at all times!
